When you use the Platform to request, accept, manage, or perform a booking, we share information reasonably necessary for that booking, such as names, contact details, addresses, scheduling details, notes, messages, and booking status.

B. With service providers and vendors

We may share information with payment processors, hosting providers, cloud vendors, analytics providers, communications vendors, customer-support tools, map/address vendors, fraud-prevention vendors, legal advisers, accountants, insurers, and similar service providers working on our behalf.

C. For legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if we believe doing so is necessary to comply with law, court order, subpoena, legal process, governmental request, or regulatory inquiry; to enforce our agreements; to detect or prevent fraud or security incidents; or to protect the rights, property, and safety of MovingHelpers, our users, or others.

4. Provider privacy practices

Providers are independent businesses or individuals and may have their own privacy and data handling practices. MovingHelpers is not responsible for a Provider’s independent use, storage, disclosure, or protection of information once that information is shared with the Provider as part of the marketplace workflow.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Those providers process personal information under their own terms and privacy notices. MovingHelpers receives limited transaction-related information such as customer IDs, payment method references, transaction status, disputes, refunds, and payout information, but does not store full card numbers in raw form.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users logged in, remember preferences, secure sessions, support core Platform functionality, analyze usage, and improve reliability and user experience.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may impair certain Platform features.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, fulfill bookings, maintain payment and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and protect our legitimate interests.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the status of your account, the existence of open bookings or disputes, tax and accounting rules, fraud-prevention needs, and legal requirements.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no website, database, transmission, or system can be guaranteed to be fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

The Platform is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal information to us unlawfully, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing.

You may also update certain account information directly through your account, where available. Some requests may be limited where we need to retain information for bookings, disputes, payments, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or other legitimate business purposes.

To exercise privacy-related requests, contact us at support@movinghelpers.org.

11. Communications preferences

We may send transactional and service-related communications regarding accounts, bookings, payments, support, safety, policy changes, and legal notices. Promotional messages, where sent, may include opt-out mechanisms, but you may still receive essential service communications.

SMS and text messaging

If you provide a phone number to us, we may send SMS or text messages relating to your account, provider profile, bookings, customer support, platform operations, and similar service-related matters. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@movinghelpers.org.

Consent to receive text messages is not required to use the Platform, and opting out of SMS may limit certain real-time communications but will not affect your ability to use other parts of the Platform.

12. Do not track and browser controls

Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for responding to browser-based Do Not Track signals, the Platform may not respond to all such signals in a uniform manner.

13. International users

If you access the Platform from outside the country where our systems are operated, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

15. Contact

If you have questions, complaints, or requests relating to this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, contact us at support@movinghelpers.org.
